2010 Independent Film Festival to showcase 80 films | Events

The second Annual Santa Fe Independent Film Festival will take place Tuesday, October 19 through Sunday, October 24.  The 2010 film festival will take place at Warehouse 21 and the Aztec Café.  The festival awards filmmakers in six different categories: Best Short, Best Feature, Best New Mexican, Best Animated, Best International, Best Documentary and Audience Choice Award.  To vote for your favorite film visit http://www.santafeindependentfilmfestival.com/. 

SFIFF Founding Director Jacques Paisner said in a press release "The Santa Fe Independent Film Festival will provide a dynamic program of emerging local and international talent showcasing the latest filmmaking trends in front of a diverse and passionate movie audience.  New Mexico is also a state where filmmakers have the benefit of both a tax credit as well as a workforce of film industry professionals capable of supplying both the technical and creative components of filmmaking, allowing the festival to serve as a unique networking and discovery platform."
