New details were released about what may have led up to a deadly shooting in Santa Fe County early Monday afternoon.
According to Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department officials, 54-year-old Arthur Anaya shot and killed a teenage boy and wounded a woman around 1 p.m. at a residence near Old Galisteo Road on the south side of Santa Fe.
Authorities said the shooting may have started over a landlord-tenant dispute over rent payments. Anaya is the landlord of the home where the teenage boy lived, officials said. The boy was shot and killed inside the home.
Authorities believe Anaya also shot a woman inside the home. The woman's relationship to the boy is unclear at this time.
Officials said Anaya fled the scene on foot.
Dispatchers received a call from someone claiming to be Anaya's relative. They said Anaya has a sister who lives in Albuquerque.
Albuquerque authorities were alerted that the suspected killer might make his way to the city.
The condition of the woman is still unknown.
Sheriff's officials said there is a $1,000 bond for information leading to Anaya's arrest.
If anyone has any information on Anaya's whereabouts, they asked to call the Santa Fe Sheriff's Department at (505) 428-3720.
