The Athletic Department of the Santa Fe Public Schools has announced that Anthony “Tony” Martinez is the new Head Coach of the Santa Fe Baseball program.
Martinez played five years of baseball at Eastern Oregon University and was named MVP for two seasons. He has been an assistant at the high school level for over ten years.
“I am honored to be named the new head baseball coach at Santa Fe High School. My father attended Santa Fe High in the late 70’s when teams were powerhouses and I look forward to being part of an athletic department that is headed in that direction. Leading a program has always been a dream of mine as I love baseball. I am really excited for the challenge, and look forward to getting started,” Martinez said upon getting hired.
